I am currently a full-time employee of F2 Systems, LLC. Although being based in Georgia, I fill a position in Jacksonville, NC on Camp Lejeune. The role I serve here is Tier 2 Combat Hosting Environment and Data Network Analyst. Holding a Secret clearance, I support both Active and Reserve Marines with the following:
- Building virtual machines such as, but not limited to, Domain Controller, Exchange, SQL, etc.
- Updating the BIOS and LifeCycle Controller of servers.
- Installing VMware ESXi (vSphere Hypervisor).
- Updating the IOS on Cisco routers and switches.
- OS updates for Android Tactical Edition (TE) devices.
- Provisioning of Android TE devices.
I have been with F2 Systems, LLC. for two and a half years (Hired February of 2023). My current position however I have only filled for a year and a half. My first year with F2 I was a Tier 2 Analyst working for the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Forces in charge of the following:
- Management of the entire east coast wireless infrastructure utilizing a Cisco Wireless LAN Controller (WLC).
- Using Cisco DNA Center (DNAC), pushing updates, configuring, and provisioning networking equipment of surrounding bases in North Carolina.
Prior to February 2023, I served honorably in the United States Marine Corps from September 2014 to February 2023 as a Personnel Supervisor, Lead Network Administrator, and Helpdesk Manager. I was responsible for leading teams, managing secure network operations, and ensuring mission-critical IT support for my unit.
- Maintained high morale and motivation among personnel through mentorship and leadership initiatives.
- Built strong rapport with team members to understand strengths, challenges, and professional goals.
- Managed multiple live military networks, ensuring secure communication between units and partner nations.
- Led the technical implementation of security patches on networking equipment to strengthen defenses against foreign cyber threats.
- Provided hardware repair and support for end-user devices, including laptops.
- Oversaw helpdesk operations, including end-user support and the creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure consistent service delivery.
